$150 disney gift card discount

Paying for all (or part) of your Disney World vacation with discount Disney gift cards is an easy way to save money.

You can use Disney gift cards to pay for:

  • A Disney vacation package
  • Disney resort hotel stays
  • Disney theme park tickets
  • Food and drinks at Disney World and Disneyland
  • Disney Cruises
  • Merchandise and more…

It is easy to save hundreds of dollars by paying for all of this with cheap Disney gift cards!

There are many places that sell discount Disney gift cards and they each have pros and cons.

In this post, I’ll share the top three places to get a Disney gift card discount and my pick for the easiest to use.

Where To Buy Disney Gift Cards

You can buy Disney gift cards at a discount at many locations both online and in a store, such as:

Other places may also offer discounts, but anything less than 4-5% is NOT a good deal.

Here’s how to get cheap Disney gift cards at my top three best picks.

BJs Disney Gift Cards

BJ’s Wholesale is my first choice for Disney gift card deals because you don’t have to have a specific credit card or expensive membership to get discount Disney gift cards.

membership benefits

You now have to be a member to get a Disney gift card discount at BJ’s but fear not!

BJ’s offers a cheap $10 per year option that is perfect for getting discount Disney gift cards at BJ’s. I have this membership just for this purpose.

Right now the best deal is the $100 BJs Disney gift card that costs $95.99. This is a 4% savings and the other gift card options at BJ’s offer less than 4% off.

I like that you can pay for these discount Disney gift cards with any form of payment and that you can get instant access to these prices with an affordable $10/year membership.

If you purchase these gift cards with a credit card that earns rewards or cash-back, you can save WAY more.

You can combine the amount from multiple gift cards on the Disney Gift Card site here, making them much easier to manage when you are in the parks.

BJs Disney Gift Card Discount Pros & Cons

  • Pros: instant access, can pay with any method
  • Cons: only save 4%, have to pay $10 annual membership fee

Target Disney Gift Cards

While Target doesn’t sell discount Disney gift cards per se, you can use a Target REDcard to save 5% on Disney gift cards.

A REDcard saves you 5% off of all your purchases, even Target Disney gift cards.

I especially like that there is a REDcard Debit card so I don’t have to open a credit card to save on Disney gift cards!

Just add Disney gift cards to your cart on Target.com (or in a Target store) and use your REDcard as your payment method at checkout.

Target Disney Gift Card Discount Pros & Cons

  • Pros: can get them in-store or online, 5% savings
  • Cons: must pay with a REDcard

Sam’s Club

If you happen to already be a Sam’s Club member, you can save about 4% on Disney gift cards when you buy these $50 Disney gift cards for $47.98.

These are only available to regular Sam’s Club members and membership will cost you $45.

Sometimes Groupon will offer discounts on Sam’s Club memberships (this is how I got my membership to – you guessed it – buy discount Disney gift cards!)

Recently I was able to save 10% on Disney gift cards at Sam’s thanks to a 5% cash back offer from DOSH. Click here to learn more about the cash back app DOSH

Sam’s Club Disney Gift Card Discount Pros & Cons

  • Pros: save 5%, options to save more with DOSH, can pay with any method
  • Cons: must have a $45 membership

What Can You Use Discount Disney Gift Cards For?

cinderella's castle in magic kingdom

There are so many ways to use discount Disney gift cards to save money on your vacation!

First, if you book your trip with a travel agent, you can pay for your entire trip with Disney gift cards!

If you want help with every aspect of your vacation at no additional cost to you, I recommend getting a free quote for your trip from one of the expert Disney agents at Destinations in Florida.

If you rent DVC points to save thousands on a Disney Deluxe hotel stay, you can use discounted Disney gift cards to add a Disney Dining Plan to your reservation.

You can use gift cards to buy your park tickets directly from Disney, but you might be able to save more buying discounted theme park tickets from Undercover Tourist.

And, of course, you can use your Disney gift cards in the parks for your food and merchandise purchases.

Can I Combine Disney Gift Cards?

managing disney gift cards

Keeping track of a bunch of gift cards can be difficult, but thankfully there is a solution. Disney allows you to combine multiple cards into one card here!

I think his is one of the best features of Disney gift cards. You can move balances between cards and only have to keep track of one card on your trip.

The most you can move onto one Disney gift card is $1,000 so if you have more than that you’ll need multiple cards.

Note that if you have more than five to combine, you will have to transfer the balance to the primary card, then delete cards from your collection of “My Cards” as you go.

Cheap Disney Gift Cards Summary

In summary, BJ’s offers the most reliable and hassle-free way to get Disney gift card deals.

Though you can definitely buy Disney gift cards at other locations, you will need a special card or pricey membership to get access to the best prices.

I like that you only need a $10/year membership to buy gift cards from BJ’s and that you can use any payment method (even one that earns additional cash back).

What if you have Disney gift cards you would like to sell? We lost our connection to our timeshare and had to cancel our trip so we cant otherwise afford a trip plus airfare and hotel so I need to get rid of them without fear of being duped on the cards? I really appreciate your help.

Great question, Stacie. I’d suggest trying both https://www.cardcash.com/ and https://www.raise.com/ to see where you could get the most out of your cards. I have bought from both sites and they are reputable and safe. I’m sure you will have no trouble liquidating your cards.

Hi Denise – you can get online access only for $10 per year. You can buy anything online at member prices but you can’t use it in the store. https://www.bjs.com/membershipEnroll

Thank you! I used your information to get discounted gift cards from Sam’s Club and then used by Disney credit card to get an additional 1% back. However, I went back to Sam’s Club online today to purchase more gift cards and they have increased the price, so you are saving less now. This was less than a month since I purchased gift cards at the discounted amount you mentioned. Just thought I would put that out there for anyone now looking to get gift cards.

Hi Leah! I have a couple of questions. I was wondering if you have ever stayed at Disney BoardWalk Villas? We are a family of 4 were looking at staying in a 1 bedroom villa standard view so we have space to move around. Any suggestions on requesting a view other than the parking lot? I was also wondering if you had ever stayed at a deluxe studio at the boardwalk as well and if so is there ample room for a family of 4?

I happen to be staying at the Boardwalk for the first time tonight! I know the studio villas at the Boardwalk are 359 square feet, so a bit larger than a hotel room at a Value resort which is 260 square feet. The rooms have a queen bed and a full-size sleeper sofa. I guess it depends on how old your kids are and if they are ok sleeping on the pull-out. We regularly stay in a studio with our 6-year old daughter and feel like we have plenty of room.

I would definitely request to be close to the lobby since some of the villa rooms are WAY down the path towards Hollywood Studios and quite far from the amenities. You could also request a pool or garden view. Hope that helps!
