Best Marinade for Chicken, Steak and Pork

marinade in a mason jar

I’ve been using this marinade for years and I love it. This recipe make a large batch, enough to fill a quart mason jar. I’ve always just kept it on the shelf and never had any issues. So I guess refrigeration is optional! 😉

When I have some steak, boneless pork chops or chicken thighs I place them in a Ziploc bag, dump some marinade in, wait a few hours, then grill!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mustard powder
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a quart size mason jar or similar container.

Place a tight-fitting lid on top and shake until all ingredients are combined.

I suggest marinating meat for at least one hour and up to overnight.
