It’s pretty easy to earn credits on Amazon that you can use towards eBooks, music downloads, and video rentals or purchases.

The trick is knowing what credits you have and actually using them!

This post will answer all of your questions about earning and using Amazon promotional credit in one place.

What are Amazon digital credits?

Choose FREE Amazon Day Delivery for fewer boxes and a $2 digital credit
Amazon sometimes offers credits as a thank-you for choosing No-Rush shipping or Amazon Day Delivery.

These credits are automatically applied to your account after your item ships.

You’ll get an email notification when the credit has been applied to your account.

They can usually only be used on digital products such as ebooks, music, movies, or apps. They’re called Amazon mp3 credit or just promotional credits on Amazon.

How do I earn these credits?

When you go to the checkout page on Amazon, you will sometimes see a banner with an offer for a digital reward if you select No-Rush Shipping or Amazon Day delivery.

Amazon offers digital rewards to encourage you to have items delivered together or shipped at a slower pace.

This in turn saves Amazon money on shipping costs.

So if you don’t need your item right away, I suggest opting for No-Rush or Amazon Day delivery and start racking up digital rewards!

When you select a slower delivery you’ll see a confirmation that they will automatically apply a digital award to your account when the order ships.

You will also receive an email from Amazon once your item ships confirming that they’ve added the credit to your account.

How do I use Amazon promotional credit?

If you have any credits on Amazon they will automatically be applied to reduce the cost of your digital item at check-out!

In this way, Amazon digital credits and Amazon mp3 credits are very easy to use.

  1. Thank you!! I have been searching with no luck! Im so glad I don’t have to wast my time anymore looking or having to reach out to customer support.

  2. I searched and searched without success until I came upon your link which solved the problem instantly! Thank you, much appreciated, a great public service!

  3. too much talk and NOT easy where is the answer, not interested in all the other junk, never say the simple answer, where to you find….

    1. @ME, It’s where it says, “link to check your account…”. I realize it wasn’t the first thing under the title, but it was posted. You need more patience when dealing with others – and their free information! The link took me right to it after searching for 10 minutes before I found this post and had given up looking on Amazon. I knew all the info before that, but some people don’t. Now I have it bookmarked forever!

  4. Thank you! I searched everywhere, including Amazon, for how to find my rewards balance. Your link finally took me there! Jeez.

    1. Hi Lisa! You definitely can find them on the Amazon site without going through my link, though it is difficult – hence the need for this post. Also, I am NOT an Amazon affiliate, so I don’t earn any money from you going through my link, unlike most other sites. Just trying to help folks actually use their promotional credits instead of letting them go unnoticed and expiring.

    2. @Lisa, WOW! Really? Shame on you-you owe this blogger a big time apology!

I do not know Leah nor have I ever spoken or written to her-she’s a complete stranger, who out of the goodness of her heart, decided to share some tips and a link, with no other goal than to help some fellow human beings.

I cannot believe that humanity has come to a place in time, in 2024, where an individuals absolute, genuine, pure act of kindness, is referred to as “predatory”!

“Predatory”? Are you kidding me? Do you even know the definition of the word? I somehow doubt you do…you sound like one of those college kids who feeel victimized by life as a whole. If you really elt the need to accuse this woman of somehow getting Amazon kick backs, you could have “suggested” that perhaps she was being “opportunistic”-maybe. Maybe…but “PREDATORY”. Predatory…and for sharing a link?!!! Unreal. Epstein was Predatory. Bundy was Predatory. Brian Kohberger…all 100% predatory… but a blogger sharing a link?! Give me a break!

Why cant you find them without her link? How would SHE know! I can-and DO-find them EACH AND EVERY TIME I SHOP AMAZON, without going through her link! Digital points are NOT always offered, you typically have to buy more than 2 items at a time…and I believe it also has to do with certain days, when the AMazon trucks may be in your area. But instead of asking this blogger-who you not only insulted, but you actually disparraged by what you suggested-how about you get online with Amazon, and ask THEIR REPS to help YOU understand THEIR DIGITAL PROMOTIONS? If you’d asked nicely for further clarification and assistance, I’d be willing to help further…but you’re not, so I won’t.

Thank you again, Leah…from the rest of us who DO appreciate your assistance!!!

      1. Well thank you Elle. I actually don’t even earn commissions from Amazon truth be told. I originally wrote this so I could find the link easily myself LOL. I do make ad revenue from those that spend a minute on here so that’s a nice perk. 🙂 Thanks for your kind words and support, I really do appreciate you!

  5. I wonder if there is a way to NOT apply the credits to a particular purchase. We are accumulating credits that we intend to use exclusively for movie rentals. Sometimes I buy Kindle books but I’d rather pay outright for those and use the “cookie jar” as a sort of “saving up for entertainment night” fund. It doesn’t give me an option for not applying credits when buying a Kindle book.

  6. Thank you for this link! I often choose Amazon delivery day. I currently have a $3.00 credit per the link you provided. Do you lose previous credits if not used prior to placing new order and selecting Amazon Day delivery? I receive many emails stating I have credit and that they do not expire until December 15, 2023. I have not used the credits, but it still shows I only have the $3.00 credit?

    1. Your credits can accumulate and don’t expire until the date stated on the page. So no, you don’t have to use them before you place another order and select Amazon Day delivery!
