It’s pretty easy to earn credits on Amazon that you can use towards eBooks, music downloads, and video rentals or purchases.

The trick is knowing what credits you have and actually using them!

This post will answer all of your questions about earning and using Amazon promotional credit in one place.

What are Amazon digital credits?

Choose FREE Amazon Day Delivery for fewer boxes and a $2 digital credit
Amazon sometimes offers credits as a thank-you for choosing No-Rush shipping or Amazon Day Delivery.

These credits are automatically applied to your account after your item ships.

You’ll get an email notification when the credit has been applied to your account.

They can usually only be used on digital products such as ebooks, music, movies, or apps. They’re called Amazon mp3 credit or just promotional credits on Amazon.

How do I earn these credits?

When you go to the checkout page on Amazon, you will sometimes see a banner with an offer for a digital reward if you select No-Rush Shipping or Amazon Day delivery.

Amazon offers digital rewards to encourage you to have items delivered together or shipped at a slower pace.

This in turn saves Amazon money on shipping costs.

So if you don’t need your item right away, I suggest opting for No-Rush or Amazon Day delivery and start racking up digital rewards!

When you select a slower delivery you’ll see a confirmation that they will automatically apply a digital award to your account when the order ships.

You will also receive an email from Amazon once your item ships confirming that they’ve added the credit to your account.

How do I use Amazon promotional credit?

If you have any credits on Amazon they will automatically be applied to reduce the cost of your digital item at check-out!

In this way, Amazon digital credits and Amazon mp3 credits are very easy to use.

  1. Super thanks. Booked marked the link.
I have seen this for months and months and never really cared for the credits yet I went to order a bunch of stuff last night and they offered me 3 dollars and in that order it showed another one with something that said only one per order. So I could have gotten 6 dollars.
So I tried something. I saved all my items for later and then placed 2 items in my cart and ordered it and ended up with 5.50 dollars in the end.
Tip from what I understand is that these credits are not in your account until the item ships.
Keep in mind of those who buy a lot of amazon and tend to return things. From what I gather and tested you need 2 items in your order to get this to show up. This I am assuming is things shipped and sold by Amazon or shipped by Amazon and sold by 3rd party.
So when you order if you want to get a lot of credits it might take a bit of learning yet I could see a someone bringing in 50 dollars in credit a month if not more.
I return a lot of stuff and make sure that when I buy stuff it has a free return otherwise I likely wont buy it. So I will from now on think about this and earn as many credits as I can.
If someone knows how to get a lot more credits let me know!

Thanks to Leah for making this easy to find as I did search for a long time…

    1. @kameljoe21, Well, when they finally do away with it due to people gaming the system, don’t come crying about it.

  2. My promotional credits keep getting zero’d out. I should have around $20 from frequent orders over the past few months but I only have the most recent order from 2 days ago of $1.50. It’s ridiculous.

    1. @Amy, yes has been doing that to me for moths. i will check it when i first get the credit and it may be there , but 2 days later it is gone, i did call once and they did refund me for the month of credits i said these all say till ??/??/?? and it is not at that date yet, and i have not purchased anything with my credit. But it is still doing it till this day and its going on 4 months now.

  3. PHEW,so appreciated. Elderly mother wanted to watch a particular movie and I couldn’t find my digital credit, she will be happy now. Thank you Leah!!!

  4. SO helpful! Thank you! Bookmarked! And thanks to the other commenters who described where to find this well-hidden link from our account page. So helpful!

  5. Evidently, since they switched to this new rewards program, not only did they do away with the digital credits but they have completely wiped out every single point I already had coming to me! Went to rent a movie on Prime and my account now says ZERO points! WTH????

  6. No Kidding! “That’s because it is virtually impossible to find… ”

After 10-15 minutes – and a half-dozen Landing Pages from Google Search – your 2023 link was BINGO!

Thanks so much. It is stunning that Amazon No-Rush credit balance is is so hard to find, especially since it is heavily promoted. I like the option and building credits; but why so hard to find the balance?
