I am being really disciplined this week with using what we already have in the house for dinners. Even when we are “out of food” (according to my husband), we still seem to have SO much food in our freezer and cupboards. So I am using baked beans, couscous, ramen noodles, bread flour, chicken thighs, frozen veggies, eggs, and tomatoes from the garden (yep, I’m still getting tomatoes from one plant) that I didn’t have to buy in recipes this week. That helped our grocery bill come in $25 under budget and I can add that money to the Christmas fund!
Here’s some of what we are eating this week:
Spinach Tomato Tortellini Soup – Damn Delicious
Whole Wheat Couscous with Parmesan and Peas – Eating Well
Easy Homemade Coleslaw Dressing – The Frugal South
Biscuit Chicken Pot Pie – Six Sisters’ Stuff
