Attention Mom: please do not read this post! Christmas gift spoiler follows! 😉
Are still looking for a Christmas gift for someone on your list? If that person lives in a household with just one or two people, consider this: cooking for one or two can be really challenging. A slow cooker is a convenient way to prepare food, but most recipes out there make 6-8 servings which just isn’t practical when you are cooking for a small crowd.
Here is a solution: print out my FREE 2 Quart Crockpot Mini Recipe Book and pair it with a small slow cooker to make a frugal and practical gift! I scaled down six of my favorite slow cooker recipes to make just 2-3 servings and created a printable mini cookbook. I printed one out, place it in page protectors which I bound with some ribbon. I’m giving it to my mom along with a 2 Quart Slow Cooker.
Here are two ideas for slow cookers to go with the cookbook: this Crock-Pot 3 Quart Slow Cooker is currently available on Amazon for $9.99 with free Prime Shipping. Or check out this cute Red Crock-Pot 2 Quart Slow Cooker on Target.com for $11.99 plus free shipping! Either would arrive in time for Christmas.
I hope my mom likes her present and I hope it helped someone else find a gift for a friend or family member!

I bought on these from target. The ceramic part was crooked and I forgot to take it back before 30 days. I just used it and it totally pulled apart from the bottom and while I was cooking it had a horrible burnt plastic/metal smell. I used it once and I have to throw it out now. It is poorly made and look super cheap inside where all the metal is. My daughter broke a crockpot we had in the family for like 40 years. Which was so well made. Do not buy this clunker.
May 24, 2016 at 10:54 amIt literally looks like someone threw it against the wall after one use. The bottom metal part warped and pulled apart.
Good to know, thanks Susan. I hope I don’t need to replace ours for about 30 more years (it is already 10 years old). 😉
