Hope to be able to take my 2 great granddaughters in the next year. Every penny I can save will help.

Hi this will be my first trip but I want to know do they have scooters to rent for people that can’t walk a lot?

Yes! You can rent an electric scooter at the park for $50/day. Or there are MANY scooter rental companies who will deliver to your resort. Here’s a summary from AllEars.net: http://allears.net/pl/ecv_faq.htm Hope that helps!

Hi Leah, we are renting thru DVC a 3 bedroom villa at BLT for our family of 10. I plan to buy park hopper tickets on UT. If free meal plans become available in 2018, and we are traveling within the time frame, can we qualify for the free meal plan?

Hi Patty! Unfortunately if you rent DVC points for your stay you can’t qualify for Free Dining. You are likely already saving way more by renting points than you would with free dining so I wouldn’t worry much about it! Free dining is the best deal for Value and Moderate resorts, but not a great deal for Deluxe. Sounds like an amazing trip you are planning!

I have never been to Disney world because my siblings don’t like seeing people dressed in costumes unless it I on Halloween but I love to see your picture of when you went to Disney world because makes me happy and brightens up my day

    Hi Leah-
When you rent DVC points, are you able to add a dining plan to your DVC HOTEL reservation, etc just like you do normally?

Yes absolutely! And you don’t need to purchase a park ticket along with the Dining Plan, which is normally a requirement.

I was wondering what it is like during Thanksgiving break. I thought about leaving Tuesday before Thanksgiving and then leaving that Saturday or Sunday. We really don’t want to deal with big crowds especially since this may be our one and only time we take our kids. I am a teacher so I can’t take off tons of time to travel during the school year so I thought Thanksgiving may be a good time. Thanks.

Hi Alison! There will be light crowds on Tuesday and Wednesday before the Thanksgiving crowds arrive, then pretty heavy through the weekend. I would suggest visiting the Magic Kingdom early in the week and definitely avoiding it on Thursday and Friday. Overall crowds are lower during Thanksgiving than other holidays, such as the week between Christmas and New Year’s. Hope that helps!

I stayed here for a week, had a w/c delivered there, used for a week and they came and picked it up when I left. I loved eating in the restaurant esp. Breakfast, they have a lot to chose from. Rode the buses regularly , no problems, driver help me first every time. Would recommend this Pop Century to all esp. With children.

Hi Ashley!! We have so much in common!! I am a North Carolina girl born and raised; I just happen to live in GA now with my husband and 6 year old. I too love pretty tea cups, good recipes, living on a frugal budget, and saving money at Disney World. Looking forward to following you and getting to know you better!

Thank you so much for sharing. I’ve been going since the Magic Kingdom opened in 71 and I used to be quite good at finding good deals.
After not being able to go for five years I have to admit I was astonished at how much it costs and the planning required now! I hope to put some of these ideas into getting there again in 2017!
