I think the title of every email in my inbox includes the words “last-minute gift” right about now.
Because we are human, most of us inevitably have forgotten to procure a gift for a friend or family member… oopsie!
However, if you have some baking basics hanging around your house, you can probably whip up a gift in just a few minutes that is sure to be loved by the recipient.
You may even get requests for the same gift year after year (it has happened to me!)
I’m talking about a jar of the best brownie mix ever, of course.
This mix makes delicious, fudgy brownies that are way better than any store-bought mix.
Just add all of the ingredients to a container, attach a label with directions, tie a ribbon around it and you are good to go.
You can really use any container, though I opted to carefully layer the mix in a wide-mouth 16 oz. mason jar.
My friend Robyn gave her neighbors some in a cute Chinese take-out container… I love it!
Below is the recipe for making just the mix, and here is a link to the printable labels you see below that you can affix to your container with directions for baking. My printer of course ran out of color ink just as I went to print these labels… they would have looked so cute in red!
You can print them on paper, glue them together and make a cute tag for your present. Or maybe you have (or want to buy) some of the Avery 2 Inch Round Printable Labels on which the design fits. Either way, I hope you find the labels useful!
Now here is the recipe for making the mix. The mix fits perfectly into a pint-sized (16 oz.) mason jar and can be doubled if desired if you have a larger container.

The recipe wouldn’t load but I was still able to find it on your website. The wet ingredients listed is different from what is printed on the little sticker as well as the size. Which one would I put that is correct?
