My daughter and I are visiting family next week and we are flying on JetBlue. I remembered reading somewhere that JetBlue will grant you their elite “Mosaic” status if you have a Southwest Companion Pass, which I do (read about how I earned it here). Mosaic status gets you two free checked bags, a free adult beverage in-flight, and an expedited security line, among other perks, so I was definitely going to look into how to get all of that for free!

I headed over to Million Mile Secrets, my favorite frugal travel blog, and easily found their article on how to qualify for JetBlue Elite Mosaic Status if you have a Southwest Companion Pass.

All I had to do was fill out the form on this Mosaic status match page and upload a scan of my physical Southwest Companion Pass. The site said it could take up to two weeks to get an email confirming that I’d earned Mosaic status, but I got a confirmation in my inbox in just a few hours!

Here are all of the perks I’ll get through the end of this year with my free Mosaic status:

You can also get Mosaic status matched using elite status from other airlines, such as Delta Gold, American Airlines Platinum, etc.

Thanks, Million Mile Secrets!
