I’ve already had readers asking me when they should book their trips for next year, so I’m excited to share that Disney World has released 2019 packages and room rates!

Here are five reasons to consider booking your 2019 Disney World vacation now:

1) Making a Disney World package reservation only requires a $200 deposit which is totally refundable up to 30 days before your trip. You’ll have lots of time to set money aside and accumulate discounted Disney gift cards to pay off the balance on your trip!

2) I highly recommend booking any package with an expert Disney travel agent such as Siera with Destinations in Florida. A travel agent can handle all of the details of your trip at NO additional cost to you! Siera can book your dining reservations, FastPasses, and Magical Express transfers if needed. Or you can do it yourself and have someone always available to answer any questions you have.

3) If Disney releases discounts on room-only reservations or packages (such as the uber-popular Free Dining Package) for your travel dates, Siera will automatically apply the discount that gives you the best price, thereby lowering your balance due. Trust me, Disney will NOT automatically lower your balance due when you book directly with them! You will have to monitor the discounts and call Disney to have a discount applied to your account if one becomes available.

3) Next year will be huge at Disney World thanks to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the Skyliner, so availability at Disney resorts may be very limited. It’s a great idea to book as soon as possible, especially if you want to visit in November or December.

4) If you book with Siera before June 30th, she will give every child in your party a free pair of Mickey ears or a free autograph book to get your trip off to a fun start! You’ll get the free gift when you book a package that totals $3,000 or more before airfare and includes minimum 3-day park tickets. Just fill out this form to get a free quote and to qualify for the gifts!

If you aren’t sure about when you want to travel but are considering a trip for 2018, I suggest getting a no-obilgation quote and letting Siera help you find the best travel dates and resort for your family!

My wife and I want to take our kids to Disneyland. We have been thinking about booking through a Disney vacation planner. It is nice the hear that the travel agents will use all discounts possible to make the vacation cheaper.

Hi I just wanted to say that booking directly with Disney and a promotion comes up during the travel time you have booked Disney WILL make adjustments for the discount! I have had that happen to me and called called them and it lowered my vacation package by more than $500.00!

Yes, Shena, you are totally right! However, you had to be aware of the discount and you had to call Disney and ask that they adjust the price to reflect the discount. A good travel agent will do this for you automatically and you won’t have to lift a finger or stay on top of all the new discounts!

Hi! My family and I are planning on a Disney trip Dec 2018. My daughter will be 2 1/2 yrs old. How did you handle your trip with your little one. What things do you think I should do to make the best out of the trip for her. Thanks!!

Hi Nettie! I found that when my daughter was that age taking a break in the afternoon back at the hotel was necessary. Only once or twice was she able to get a good nap in the stroller. We also didn’t try to do too much in a day and planned for some unstructured play time during the day. I did the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall Princess character meal with her at that age and it was MAGIC! The only dark rides she liked were Peter Pan and The Little Mermaid, everything else was too scary. Loved petting the animals at Animal Kingdom (at Rafiki’s Planet Watch) too. Hope that helps!
