The much anticipated Free Dining offer from Disney World is available as of this morning, 4/24/2017! Check out this post for everything you need to know about Free Dining, including how to decide if it is the best deal for you. Here are the details of the 2017 offer and how to book it.

First of all here are the dates that are included this year:

As in years past, you must include minimum 2-day Park Hopper tickets to book this package deal. Keep in mind that you can check-in on any of the included dates and get Free Dining for the length of your stay.

The main change to the Free Dining offer this year is that Moderate resorts will receive the Quick Service Dining Plan instead of the standard Disney Dining Plan. This makes the Value Resorts far and away the best value with this Free Dining offer! I expect them to book quickly so I suggest making a reservation right now is you have any interest in going, and cancelling later if you need to! There’s only a $200 deposit required to book the package and it is totally refundable up until 30 days before your trip.

Resorts and rooms excluded from the offer are Port Orleans French Quarter, All Star Movies, Little Mermaid rooms at the Art of Animation, all 3 bedroom villas, campsites, and the Polynesian Bungalows. It appears that Port Orleans Riverside is only available from August 21st through September 20th.

To book this package, I suggest either booking online with Disney or getting a quote from Destinations in Florida, my recommended agency that specializes in Disney travel. If you want help booking a Free Dining package, I would also suggest calling Destinations in Florida at 877-918-8941 as soon as possible since there are a limited number of rooms available for the Free Dining offer and they book quickly!

Thank you for the concise, accurate update on the dining plan!! I used it to successfully book our first trip to WDW. Even though the site kept freezing, we managed to book the hotel we wanted (Pop Century), with dates we’re happy with (late November) AND the Free Dining deal!

    Thanks a bunch, Leah!

I am so excited for you, Chrissy! Pop Century is one of my favorite resorts at Disney and is even better with Free Dining. 🙂 Are you sticking with the Quick Service Plan or upgrading to the standard Disney Dining Plan?

We are probably going to stick with the Quick Service Plan, but only for the sake of flexibility. 🙂
