Disney World Resorts are Back on Orbitz! Rooms from $87/Night This Spring

I was really discouraged when Orbitz stopped offering Walt Disney World resort hotels a few months back. Booking through Orbitz was far and away the best way to save money when booking room-only stays at Disney World.

But here is some good news… Disney World hotels are back on Orbitz! You can now book room-only reservations through the end of 2017 and take advantage of stacking an Orbitz discount ON TOP OF Disney discounts to save big on Disney resorts stays (read my step-by-step guide in this post).

Currently Disney has an offer to save up to 25% on resort hotels through June 10th. This discount is automatically applied to rooms available on Orbitz – you don’t need to do anything to get this discounted price.

The discounts by room type are shown above.  Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation and Port Orleans French Quarter do not apply for any discounts. The best discounts are for travel between 4/9 and 6/10 (see all of the details of the discount here).

For stays through March 31st, enter the promo code TRAVELNOW at checkout on Orbitz and save an additional 15%! I expect a new promo code to become available towards the end of January that will include stays into June. If you are looking for those dates I suggest waiting for the next code to be released!

$87/night for a room at Disney’s All Stars Movie Resort? I’ll take it!

As an example, a four night stay at Disney’s All Stars Movie Resort during the first week of March (3/5 through 3/9) with both discounts comes to $404.24 including tax. That’s $87 per night plus tax, with all of the benefits of staying at a Disney Resort included.

A couple of months ago, I went ahead and booked at room at Pop Century for my daughter and her family in May. I have been checking Orbitz and Cheaptickets since then, and last I checked they are both sold out of Pop Century rooms for the week she will be there. I will look forward to a new Orbitz promo code towards the end of January and hope that they have some rooms at Pop Century. I could potentially save a couple hundred dollars, and I’ll cancel the reservation I have now and book with Orbitz if I can save. I have saved a lot of money in the past booking through Orbitz and stacking discounts! Thanks Leah!
