{Mini} Weekly Meal Plan 12/30/15 with Recipes – Happy New Year!

week long dinner meal plan

I’m glad I tackled a meal plan this morning because it helped me remember that 1) I want to have classic Southern “good luck” food on New Year’s Day and 2) I want to try out the pressure cooker my husband gave me for Christmas as soon as possible! 🙂 Though this plan is only for part of the week, I figured it is better than nothing and it lets me share some easy and frugal recipes to ring in the New Year. Since we have a 3-year-old our festivities will consist of making crafts in our pajamas at a friend’s house and falling asleep by 9 pm. I’m sure some of you can relate! I hope you enjoy your New Year celebrations and I’ll be back with a full meal-plan next week.

Best Ever Fried Rice – Gimme Some Oven (butter and sesame oil are the not-so-secret ingredients)

Best Marinade for Chicken & Steaks – The Frugal South

Cheesy Broccoli Bites – Super Healthy Kids

Southern Collared Greens – Deep South Dish

Black-Eyed Pea Dip – Epicurious (my favorite way to eat them)

Pressure Cooker St. Louis Ribs with Whiskey BBQ Sauce – The Kitchen Whisperer

Traditional Cornish Pasties – Farmgirl Fare

Spanish Chickpeas and Rice – Budget Bytes
